Candidate FAQs

Here are some answers to the most common questions we get asked:

How much work is available?
As an NHSi Compliant, multinational framework agency we are on the National Clinical Staffing Framework. We can offer assignments nationwide for Doctors, Nurses, RODPs, Allied Health and Healthcare Professionals in any NHS Trusts.

We also work with blue chip companies and private healthcare organisations in locations throughout the UK and were growing every day.

Do you do offer longer placements?
Yes, we work collaboratively with our clients to arrange longer, fixed term assignments where possible and these can be for 1, 2, 6 or even 12 months. We can also find you your ideal job and offer permanent placements if you are looking for that permanent career change.

When will my money be in my bank account?
Providing your timesheet has been received by 4 PM Tuesday each week, payment should be in your account by Friday afternoon of the same week. A BACS transfer completes all payments.

Is there any cost to joining NLG Health?
We only expect candidates to pay for their Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS) which is a pre-requisite of the healthcare sector. We assist our workforce in subscribing to the Update Service, so that the cost is reduced to just £13 a year.

I already have a DBS certificate; do I need to complete one with NLG Health?
Yes. However, if you have an active Update Service and can supply the original DBS linked to that service, this will suffice. Members of our compliance team are available to answer your specific questions.

How much will I get paid?
We have excellent and very competitive pay rates, and depends on the specific role. However, the actual rate varies depending on the shift pattern you opt for and which client you work at. We will always detail your rates or pay for all shift patterns during your interview and on each assignment confirmation.

How many hours am I expected to work?
The decision of how much you work is entirely up to you. Having many clients over many locations we have a great deal of flexibility with regards to shifts, therefore we allow you to choose when you are available.

Do I have to commit to a set number of Hours?
No. We are very flexible, we can offer you work that suits your commitments and lifestyle. Ultimately the choice is yours.
